Baby, Toddler, and Kids picture books you should read whether you have a child or not, especially if you have a child, but read them anyway. Gerald and Piggy books by Mo Willems are smart, aware and fun to read, but We Are in a Book is a book I’ve seriously thought about writing a theory paper on. Soup Day is a great book with a wonderful recipe for great soup, so you can read and make soup. Score! Pete the Cat asks readers to take life one step at a time and not to sweat the little stuff. Smoky Night and Owl Moon have some the the most wonderful illustrations out there and are both great books with very different themes. Little Blue Truck is simple, has righteous graphics and a nice message about treating your neighbors well. No, David! is a book about my son. And everyone else’s toddler. The Composer is Dead comes with a cd to read by, and is extremely entertaining! Funny in a smart way, like most of what Lemony Snicket writes. Frog Girl is beautiful, and exciting and just a joy to look at.
